This is the band that I started with Frank Carabetta and Chuck Sheetz back in 1984. 20+ years later we are still playing. Frank and I have gone through different guitar players, keyboardists and drummers throughout the years, we are back to the original line-up – the one that started one of the most popular Lake Tahoe Bands of the late 80’s /early 90’s.
Saturday February 16th – Northstar-at-Tahoe Village – FREE 4:30-7:30
This is another outdoor show at the ice rink, bring your skates and dress warm!
Come on out and see some great live music!

In the off season, football season actually, I do a Monday Night Football promotion at Bully’s Sportsbars with my good friend Troy Fullmer of Thats Entertainment DJ Service. This where I met John Kamowich of the band Sides of Indifference. He brought some people out to see my band, The Critical Bass Band, play at XOXO a while back and I was glad to be able to finally go check his band out. They were good and I look forward to doing some shows together soon.
The gig was at Knuckleheads (4th & Vine) in Reno. The night started off with the duo Sons of Martyrs (Sides of Indifference’s drummer Matt Custer & singer John Kamowich) playing a short set followed by Days 11 and Sides of Indifference.

Eric from VIXEN nightclub in Sparks gave me a call to come down and shoot some of the national acts he has over the next few months. Last night (Wed. 1/9/07) he had The Head Cat, featuring Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats – Lemmy of Motorhead, and Danny B. Harvey, a rockabilly guitar legend. The show was produced by We Ain’t Saints.
Opening up was Dirty Rigs from Tahoe City a 3 piece old school punk band from Tahoe City.

The second act was Helbound Glory a self proclaimed “Dirt-bag Country” band from Reno. In my mind these guys were the highlight of the night. I have seen their name for a while now and am really glad I had a chance to finally see them. They were GREAT.

Hellbound Glory – Check them out if you get a chance. More photos here ..
The head liners, The Head Cat, did a solid set of rockabilly standards, some Stray Cats stuff and some originals. It was a good show and it was LOUD. I was only allowed, due to a no camera clause in their contract, to photograph the 1st three songs without flash. Rockstars …
