“Guru” and “Ninja” are like, so last week. In the search for just the right word to describe my special place in the IT world, my dedicated staff came up with “Savant.” That’s the story, and I’m stickin to it…
I’m old, my first computer was an abacus. Well … Almost. I started building my own computers back in the “286″ days, as soon as the parts started to be readily available. Some guys put the “trick carburetor” on their car, I put the new super-fast modem in my computer. (Ok, I put the “trick carburetor” on my car too) Then I got really hi-tech and had Windows for Workgroups going, eventually I had 3 XP machines, an Apple G3 and 2 Linux boxes all talking to each other, it was truly nerd heaven. My little “lab” now consists of a delightful blend of Windows 2008 Small Business Server, Server 2003, various PC’s (XP, Vista, & 7) wireless routers, print-servers, etc. All the normal stuff you would see in a Soho/Business environment.
I am currently completing my Microsoft MCITP Certification, in conjunction with my BS in Information Technology a Western Governors University.
Take a look at my pages on IT Consulting and Web Design for more information on those topics, or if your read to hire me, just click here.
